Unpopular opinions are hard. I think one of them that I see on Tumblr a lot is I just don’t understand suicide alerts. Like, if someone is legitimately suicidal, I don’t see how that would help by getting a ton of random strangers to send them messages. If it were me, it wouldn’t make a difference because they don’t know me and I don’t know them. If I was close with the person, that would be a different story. But the posts with links to the person’s blog? I don’t get it.
